Drew Bezek enters his second season as men's lacrosse head coach after joining the Knights in January 2022.
In his first season at Geneseo, the squad posted a 9-8 overall record including a 6-1 mark in conference play. The Knights earned a SUNYAC Tournament berth, defeating Brockport in the conference semifinals, 9-4, before falling to Cortland, 7-6, in the SUNYAC Championship. Goalkeeper Mark Pav and attacker Kevin Cook each earned USILA All-America honorable mention while Pav earned SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Year to lead eight Knights that earned All-SUNYAC recognition.
Bezek took over as head coach of the Knights after spending seven seasons at Oswego, where he recorded a 40-44 record and sent the Lakers to the SUNYAC tournament in 2018 and 2019. During his tenure at Oswego, he coached 20 All-SUNYAC players as well as two Rookie of the Year Award winners.
Prior to his time with the Lakers, he served as the assistant coach at Hamilton for three season. As the defensive coordinator, he helped lead the Continentals to the NESCAC postseason tournament in 2012 and 2013. Bezek also served as the Interim Head Coach for Vassar College in 2011, where he helped lead the Brewers to their first Liberty League win in program history.
Bezek graduated from LeMoyne College in 2010, where he helped lead the men's lacrosse team to four national championship game appearances, including one national title in 2007. He was a Division II First-Team All-American in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and earned Division II Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2009 and 2010.
